Wineries to Visit in and Around London

Impress your out of town guests with offering something different than the typical London attractions. While a stay at the Park Grand Paddington Suites will likely do, topping it up with a wine tasting experience will earn you the title of hostess with the most.

It is very rare that when one thinks about London, then wine comes to mind. The city is known for many things, but wine is hardly one of them, or is it? London has a rich culinary culture and with good food comes good wine. The English climate is favourable to grape production (the key ingredient in winemaking). In recent years we have seen English wines making their mark in the world of wine.

Here is a list of places to go wine tasting in the inner city:

London Cru
Tucked away in a quaint street in the trendy suburb of Fulham, you will find this award-winning winery – London Cru. This is the first urban winery in the heart of London, was founded in 2013 by Cliff Roberson. All the grapes used for the wines are sourced from surrounding English Vineyards, and London Cru wines can be found at some of the best Michelin star restaurants in town. Spoil your loved one and pair a stay at a Paddington romantic hotel with a wine tasting tour at London Cru.

Renegade London Winery and Bar
Situated in Gales Garden is this winery that’s open to the public from Tuesday – Sunday. They invite guests to experience the art of winemaking, and visitors will get to sample some of their specialities as well as have a chance to purchase their favourites. Some of the recommended celebration wines include the ‘London Sparkling 2016’ and the ‘Bethnal Bubbles 2017’.

Blackbook Winery
Blackbook offers an ethical and simple approach to the art of winemaking. They source the finest grapes from local farms and select the best to include in their wines. The winery has zero-tolerance to chemical inclusions, and you will find little to zero sulphur being used. They offer wine tasting tours and visitors who come for the tour qualify for an automatic discount on all purchases made at the winery. The tour conducted by Sergio lasts for an hour and will set you back 15 quid.

The Winery
This London winery located in Little Venice has been standing for 100 years as a wine shop and, celebrated 23 years of independence. They bring you some of the best produced International wines from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, California, Australia, and other European countries. On their website, you will find all the latest events for wine tasting and advanced booking is mandatory.

After spending a day sampling some of the different wines offered at these wineries you can purchase some to take home or spend the evening simmering down at one of the nearby city hotels. Double hotel rooms London are an especially great choice if you will be experiencing wine tasting with friends.

Cheers!
