The best parks to venture, when visiting the vibrant city of London for a holiday

London is filled with stunning parks offering tourists the chance to relax in the sunshine, play sports and discover amazing wildlife. Regent’s Park is a wonderful example of what the city has to offer its travellers and there is certainly plenty there to engage visitors. A great reason to head there is the brilliant London Zoo that is a superb destination that is ideal for families. Travellers will also adore the many quaint cafes there, the gorgeous gardens and beautiful boating lake. The green space was designed in 1811 by English architect John Nash and has some magnificent rose gardens as well as plenty of places to play various sports.

These include large spaces for football and rugby, and tourists will also be pleased to know there is a cricket pitch. Uniquely the green space also has the fantastic Open Air Theatre season that runs from May to September, which includes a range of amazing shows and musicals. Travellers will also adore visiting this park for Primrose Hill, which is a wonderful spot to venture to and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city of London. Near this park is the lovely Hampstead Heath that is another top destination for views across the capital. There is also the lovely Golders Hill Park here that has a superb zoo and butterfly house.

Richmond Park may be a little further out of the centre of London, but it is definitely worth visiting when in the capital. It is famous for its ancient trees, butterflies and especially for the deer that roam around freely. There are also a number of cycle paths here for visitors to meander down and enjoy the pretty views.
