Luxury Express Lunches

When you’re at work, lunch time is an exciting part of your day; a time to venture out of the office, to socialise and to grab something to eat. The common misconception is that heading to a cafe or a takeaway to buy a sandwich or jacket potato is the only way to spend your lunch, however, more and more restaurants are producing menus called Express Lunches.

Gone are the days where you take a trip to your nearest Mcdonald’s, Subway or Sushi restaurant for your lunch, it is now the era of heading to your nearest gourmet restaurant who are now offering Express Lunch menus in a bid to attract more clientele in the afternoons. Express Lunch menus take selected dishes from the restaurant’s standard menu and allow them to be turned into quick lunch options but without losing out on any quality and flavour. One of the most luxurious restaurants in London, The Nirvana Kitchen, offers an Express Lunch menu that highlights several of its most popular dishes. There are nine dishes in total to choose from; three starters, four mains and two desserts at the reasonable price of £14.50 for two courses and £17.50 for three courses.

The Nirvana Kitchen’s dishes are well-known throughout the city for their infusions of asian and Indian cooking and flavours. Their starters include a Tomato Ceviche which has a distinct asian flare thanks to the kumquat and yuzu flavours whereas the Silver Cod starter has a Thai twist with its accompanied ‘Harissa’ and Thai som tam sauce. The four main course dishes cover all preferences offering chicken, beef, fish and tofu as an vegetarian option so there is something for everyone. Each charcoal dish is light but packed full of flavour; the Nirvana Baby Chicken dish incorporates miso and lentils together to create Nirvana Kitchen’s signature dish whereas the Beef Bulgogi combines purple potato chokha with achari carrots. There are two classic desserts to choose from to really finish your express lunch in style.

With a delicious gourmet lunch such as this on offer from esteemed restaurants all over London, you will never enter a takeaway again.
